A gaming business with falling sales and poor market penetration.

In a 16 month assignment as Interim New Media Director Business Transformers developed sales links in Spain ( a legally similar market), devised a new media strategy and signed supply contracts with television channels and book makers.  Aligned the NPI process with new market situations and also aligned work force.

Over the period of time 3 completely new markets were profitably delivered  (Spanish Market, TV media market & internet market) securing the future for a positive trade sale by the private owners.

GAMING BUSINESS - NO GROWTH

Company suffering from >M£2 quality costs, long lead times and very dissatisfied customers.

Over 5 months Business Transformers cut quality costs in half and lead time form 24 weeks to 18 weeks and aligned diverse technical and operational functions using a 3 times per week 40 minute “Accountability Meeting”.  In addition installed a simple contract review process as well as a simple S&OP based planning process.

SEMICONDUCTOR MANUF EQUIP - BIG LOSSES

Venture funded technology business with novel metering & data logging system.

The technology although largely solid, suffered form a poor initial launch,bad initial performance in the field and difficulties with safety certification.

Business Transformers took on the Role of Interim CEO for 3 months & conducted an audit of the field trials, negotiated improved terms with suppliers, kick started the safety certification & generated business plans for second round funding (necessitated by abortive launch.

The result included agreed second round funding, certification in place & launch issues resolved.

UTILITY MONITORING  - INABILITY TO LAUNCH

This business specialised in satellite enabled communication from ENG (electronic news gathereing), outside broadcast & military applications.  Following a restructuring, the business was unable to ship it’s order book.

Business Transformers installed an end to end planning system, a daily team briefing to improve engagement and focus, and renegotiation of the supply chain arrangements.  

Over 3 months as an interim Director output was ramped form <M£0.8 pcm to M£1.6 pcm.
